Let's share information, thoughts, photos, maps, ideas, and so on about times in the wilderness. This is a place for human-powered, on foot, non-mechanized outdoor activities.
It'd be nice to avoid the macho and braggadicio. Seems to me that a day hike of 2 miles can be as satisfying to the person doing it as a 2-week backpack trip in the Canadian Rockies.
The subject of gear will come up. There are dozens of companies who make great outdoor clothing and equipment. Each of us will have our opinions but let's not disparage others' gear.
Same deal with where we enjoy going, what we want to carry or not carry, and so on.
Let's all listen at least as much as we speak.
